Kayleigh Watkins graduated from the Undergraduate Landscape Architecture Course in 2011 and is returning this year to complete her Masters:
After graduating from the university of Gloucestershire I joined Tim Lynch Associates, where I have worked for almost 2 years as a Landscape Architect. Tim Lynch Associates are the leaders in design for dementia and cater exclusively to the care industry. Here I have learnt the importance of environmental psychology in design and I have a greater understanding why attention to detail was a primary consideration in the syllabus of every module I studied. I am lucky enough to have been selected to help set up a new branch of the company that specialises in Urban Design and it has been great to watch it develop. In order to progress in my field I have chosen to come back to Gloucestershire to complete my masters and gain the relevant skills required to progress onto the Pathway to Chartership. I am especially looking forward to studying professional practice and the planning systems in place currently and how they effect the way we live and interact with our environment.
